Welcome to our wedding website! First off, we want to thank all of you for your congratulations, well-wishes and general excitement for our recent engagement. Knowing you're all as happy about this as we are makes planning this shindig that much better.
Now, on to business: On this oh-so-lovely wedding website you'll be able to browse through the Oscar-worthy love story that is "The Epic Tale of Colin & Miranda," our self-promoting photo gallery, and of course all the necessary wedding celebration information from destination dos and don'ts to wedding wear and everything in between.
We'll (read: Mandy) will be updating this site as often as we (read: she) can, so make sure you check back as often as possible for the latest and greatest in the ongoing epic tale of Colin & Miranda.
Right away we're going to address the question that's surely resting just on the tip of your tongue (and you could try asking it out loud, but I'm afraid we won't quite hear you...):
Why do Mandy & Colin want a destination wedding?
For those not well-versed in the task of reading, the short answer is: It's simple.
And for those who don't mind perusing these strange little shapes on the screen: Colin and I decided a destination wedding was best for us quite some time ago. While wedding talk was never something we brought up often (read: once a year, on our anniversary, brought up by Mandy and shot down by Colin resulting in an awkward silence followed by wine and bread that seemed to cure it all), when it was discussed, we both knew that something simple, small and enjoyable for all involved was right where we wanted to be.
And so the destination wedding idea was born! And after visiting Cuba three times in the past five years, the idea of walking down a sand-covered aisle toward Colin with the sea lapping at his bare feet has become somewhat of an obsession.
